Prof. Noluntu Mpekoa is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Cyber Security and an associate professor in the University of Johannesburg's Academy of Computer Science and Software Engineering. Her scholarly work is firmly anchored in cybersecurity, mobile communication networks, and the effects of ICTs on society, especially in developing nations. With a focus on digital inclusion and accessibility, she has made noteworthy contributions to the domains of mobile government (m-Government), mobile user experience, and ICT for development (ICT4D). Her work supports a number of UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those pertaining to innovation, education, and inequality reduction. Prof. Mpekoa’s scholarly work includes the development of a mobile voting framework aimed at enhancing democratic participation in South Africa.
